The RV park right in Mazatlan has been closed and the property is being developed into a big store. There is however, an RV park on Stone Island and one down Hwy15 just before Villa Union, down a road on the left. You can't miss the sign that says “El Ranch RV Park”. They currently also have lots for sale if you're interested.
Get All of Your Paperwork Together
Before you get started though, you will want to make sure that all of your paperwork is in order. You have to have everything or you will be turned back at the border. Of course, you will need a valid drivers license from the state that you live in but there is far more than that that you are going to need. For starters, you are going to need to have the title with you and if there is anyone else on it, you are going to have to have a release from them authorizing you to leave the country with your vehicle.
Mexican Insurance is a Must
Get Mexican insurance! There are plenty of places down by the border where you can buy a temporary Mexican insurance policy, I strongly advise you do so. No matter how good your American policy is, its almost worthless in Mexico. If you get into an accident in Mexico without a Mexican insurance policy you're going to have a huge headache, so spend the extra money and get a Mexican insurance policy.
Get Your RV a Good Check-Up
The last thing that you are going to want is your RV to break down in Mexico. Any repair shop that you go to is going to want to take you for every gringo dime that you have. Get your RV looked over by a mechanic and get the best Fix-A-Flat goo that you can buy put in your tires. Get a locking gas cap and bring containers of extra gas, oil and water. Make sure that your mechanic checks all of your hoses also.
